Benjamin Hubert

Industrial designer and founder of Benjamin Hubert Ltd, London, United Kingdom Benjamin Hubert is the founder and CEO of Benjamin Hubert Ltd, an industrial design and research studio. Benjamin leads a multidisciplinary team across a range of sectors and typologies from the London based studio.

Benjamin graduated from Industrial Design and Technology from Loughborough University in 2006 and in his early career, worked as a product designer at DCA Design, Seymour Powell and Tangerine. He was involved in a range of projects including research and development across telecoms, AV, domestic goods, apparel, transport, beauty and grooming and packaging. During this period, Benjamin led teams working with multinational clients including; Eurostar, Nike, LG, Samsung, P&G, Reckitt Benckiser and Mamas and Papas.

Benjamin founded Benjamin Hubert Ltd in 2010 under the ethos of “Materials driven. Process led. Industrial design” the focus of this approach was innovation through the materiality and construction of a commodity to provide answers to human centered issues of usability. This methodology enabled the studio to establish successful relationships with a range of leading furniture brands including amongst others: Cappellini, Moroso, Ligne Roset and Poltrona frau. During this period the projects under this design direction received a range of awards including IF, Red Dot, Designs of the Year and various awards from lifestyle and design publications. Currently Benjamin is making a significant transformation of the studio into a more experience based industrial design agency, encapsulating an increasingly human centered holistic approach to providing design. This is translated by an expanding international team of UX and industrial designers and fueled by a growing group of collaborative partners including Nike, Samsung, Aesop, Herman Miller and BMW.
